Black Mirror wins Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series
Netflix’s Black Mirror won its first Primetime Emmy award tonight, with Charlie Brooker taking home the award for Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special for the season three episode "San Junipero.” The 61-minute episode won Outstanding Television Movie earlier in the week at the Creative Arts portion of the awards.
Black Mirror was nominated up against David E. Kelley for HBO’s Big Little Lies, Noah Hawley for FX’s Fargo, Ryan Murphy, Jaffe Cohen, and Michael Zam for FX’s Feud: Bette and Joan, and Richard Price and Steven Zaillin for HBO’s The Night Of.
Netflix is nominated for 18 Emmys tonight, and also won an Outstanding Writing award in the comedy category for Lena Waithe and Aziz Ansari’s co-written episode of Master of None.
